OCWA Conservation Education offers a range of engaging programs to schools and the public. We provide flexible classroom-based outreach programs for grades K - 12 throughout Orange County, NY schools. The Estuary Stewardship Through Education program brings middle and high school classes to the Hudson River shoreline for intensive hands-on field experiences with a team of environmental education partners. Our Conservation Educators participate in numerous public events, workshops, and festivals throughout the region.

Since its inception in 1994, OCWA Educators have brought Conservation Education Programs to over 500,000 individuals. Our programs educate school students and the public about local and global water issues, and foster environmental stewardship and protection within our region and beyond. Throughout the years, OCWA Conservation Education has evolved to meet current challenges and scientific understandings while inspiring students to care for their communities and the Earth. OCWA programming includes classroom-based outreach, field experiences, workshops, public events, and online resources.
