What are we learning?

Through this presentation, students will learn about the importance of stormwater. The presentation explores how water from storms is just as important to keep clean as other water in our lives.
Students will also learn the importance of areas for stormwater to go after it has been raining.
Students will also learn the impact that humans have had on the environment around them.

How is it done?

Introduce the students to the topic of stormwater and what it is.
Students should take notes on what they have learned from the slide show.
After going through the slides have students complete the writing prompt.
Feel free to have students share their thoughts and ideas with the class.

What to expect

Using the information learned, students will be able to identify why stormwater is so important and why it should be protected.
Students will respond to a writing prompt about how to keep stormwater clean and usable.
