Water in Nature helps students explore where water is found in the world around them. There are many different places water is located, some of which students don't always think of.
Grade Level: Grades 2 - 8
Time: 20 - 40 minutes

Where water is located in the world
Forms water takes on Earth such as: glaciers, rivers, oceans, ponds, etc.

Start the lesson with a Know-Want to Know- Learned (KWL) chart.
Ask the students what they know about water surrounding them on Earth in its different forms.
Then ask what the students want to know about water and how it interacts with people.
Afterwards, choose one of the following formats to share with students:

After reading/viewing, students can choose between online matching game through Flippity or printed card deck.
Then, students can meet in groups to discuss the questions on the slides.
After discussion have students fill out the "Learned" section of the KWL chart.
