Printed deck of "Corn, Squash, and Beans" game (PDF below)- printable on 3x5 index cards
Dried corn, squash, beans, and corn husk (optional for tactile activity)
Answer Key
To play, lay out the cards with images of Corn, Squash, and Beans along with the cards that say More than One and None of These.
Have students separate the cards with the names of items that might be made with any part of the plant next to the one that corresponds or in the alternative More Than One or None of These.
Keep in mind that things were very different in the time that some of these items were used, however many are still used today but made from different materials.
This game can be modified by providing dry corn squash and beans so that there is a tactile component to the activity. Corn should include husk as husk is a material used for many of the items.
Please note than none of these items go in the None of These category.
